I have a 1999 Ford Escort that will not start.?

I have a 1999 Ford Escort that will not start. The car has no power, the lights won't come on, and the key-less remote doesn't work. I tried jump starting the car, but it still won't start. The battery is less then a year old and I replaced the CCR about a month ago. I visually checked the fuses, but they all looked fine. Suggestions?
